OpenAI’s Dots personal AI agent gets called Muse by its CFO

OpenAI’s new personal AI agent is already carrying two public names: Dots and Muse. Reports circulated on September 30 that CFO Sarah Friar called the product “Muse” on CNBC, even though the launch presented it as Dots. The naming tangle comes alongside the separate use of “Dot” for an individual assistant and competition from Meta Muse and Grok Bot.
