Micron expects AI memory supply to stay tight through 2028

Micron expects AI demand to keep memory supply tight through 2028, even as new capacity comes online. Its fiscal fourth-quarter revenue reached $54.2 billion, with gross margin at 86.8%, and the company guided to $61.5 billion for the next quarter as demand accelerates for DRAM and high-bandwidth memory.

The visibility is unusually strong: 26 strategic customer agreements worth $32 billion cover more than 35% of projected revenue through 2030. HBM4 is already shipping in volume, while HBM4E enters production in 2027, and Micron expects supply to remain tighter in 2027 and 2028.
