Trump says he doesn’t understand why Iowa Senate race is being held

Trump turned an Iowa rally into a direct turnout push for Republicans with just 12 days left before the midterms. The event featured Senate hopeful Ashley Hinson and Chuck Grassley, while Trump said he did not understand why the Iowa Senate race was being held, a sign of confidence in the Republican ticket.

The message was simple: use Trump’s popularity to keep Iowa Republicans in line and get them to the polls. He closed the Sioux City event by dancing to “YMCA.”
