Web automation shifting to API layer despite MFA and CAPTCHA barriers

Web automation is getting wrapped into something that looks like a clean API instead of a fragile browser bot. Deck turns sites without native APIs into callable tasks, so agents can just send structured inputs and get outputs back instead of clicking around a UI.

The new push is handling the stuff that usually breaks these setups. Deck says it works through MFA and CAPTCHA and adapts when the UI changes, instead of retrying brittle selectors. That targets the main failure point in no-API automation and makes these flows usable inside tools like Claude Code or Cursor without constant babysitting.
