ZkAPI lets users pay for AI inference without exposing their wallet
Users can now prepay for AI inference without tying individual requests to the wallet that paid. The Ethereum Foundation and Open Anonymity Project announced zkAPI on October 1 and linked a live deployment on Ethereum mainnet through Open Anonymity’s private AI chat.
The system uses a deposit, a signed zero-knowledge proof, and prepaid access so providers can verify payment without tracing usage to a financial identity. zkAPI supports ETH and USDC.
