Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan’s “Expectations” remix hits No. 1 on U.S. iTunes

The “Expectations” remix went from surprise release to No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes chart in its first release window. Olivia Rodrigo’s track featuring Chappell Roan arrived with a music video, giving the collaboration an immediate visual push instead of letting the song stand alone.

The pairing is Roan’s first featured-artist credit, and Pitchfork named the track its Best New Track. The video leans into a retro game-show concept hosted by David Byrne.
