OpenAI in early talks to acquire cybersecurity firm Trail of Bits

OpenAI was reported to be in early talks to acquire Trail of Bits, a cybersecurity firm that finds vulnerabilities in open-source software and audits blockchain projects. No deal has been signed, but the move would give OpenAI specialized security expertise as it builds a broader cybersecurity business. Trail of Bits has produced 475 blockchain reports and 59 crypto reports, including work tied to XRP Ledger, Monero, and Arbitrum.
