Claude Code /goal command keeps working until task is done

Claude Code 2.1.139 adds a /goal command that keeps working across multiple turns until a completion condition is met. Posts circulating May 13 say it works in interactive mode, the -p CLI flow, and Remote Control.

The same release also made Remote Control easier to leave enabled through the desktop app setup, so a session can keep running on a local machine while being controlled from phone or web. Paired with Auto Mode auto-approving low-risk tool calls after checking commands first, Claude Code is edging from turn-by-turn assistant toward longer-running agent sessions.
