HBO is bringing back Girls for just five episodes

HBO is bringing back the core Girls cast for a five-episode continuation, with filming set to begin in 2027. Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet and Andrew Rannells are all returning, nearly a decade after the Season 6 finale. The revival will tell a present-day story shaped by hindsight, but its entire run is limited to five episodes versus the original six-season series.
