X cuts cost of reading your own data 5x
Reading your own X data just got 5x cheaper while posting got more expensive and restricted. As of April 20, Owned Reads dropped from $0.005 to $0.001 per resource, covering access to your own posts, bookmarks, followers, likes, and lists, which directly cuts the cost of agent-style monitoring and personal dashboards.
At the same time, writes moved the other way. Standard API posts went from $0.01 to $0.015, URL posts jumped to $0.20 except summoned replies at $0.01, and follow, like, and quote actions were pulled from self-serve tiers. Net effect: cheap inward data loops, pricier and tighter outbound actions, with official agent tooling and tutorials arriving alongside it.
