Jensen Huang says AI firms want exemptions from existing laws

AI companies seeking liability protection may be asking to escape laws already on the books, not asking Congress to write new AI rules. That puts the industry’s push for faster deployment directly against scrutiny over who pays when its products cause harm.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said existing regulations should be enforced first and urged the industry to move “as fast as we can, but not faster than we should.” He also rejected doomsday framing, putting the chance of AI ending the world by 2030 at 0%.
