Tmux agent swarm merges git worktrees and writes hundreds of tests

Multiple coding agents are being run side by side in tmux, talking to each other, handing off tasks, and merging code across separate git worktrees instead of one assistant grinding on a single branch. The setup is already handling big batches in one go, including writing hundreds of tests, generating Gherkin specs, refactoring, and running mutation-style checks.

The repo (swarm-forge) turns coordination into the main feature: agents get isolated workspaces, assign work between themselves, and push changes back under human supervision. It is a shift from one agent editing code to a small team of agents collaborating, with follow-on work now exploring memory systems that pick different data structures depending on what the agent needs to remember.

Robert Martin posted the tmux-based agent control system and said he forked it from his son Justin and modified it heavily.

Justin Storre followed with a related idea for a memory layer that chooses different data structures for different kinds of agent memory.
