Avalanche’s Continuous Execution adds parallel processing inside blockchain execution
Avalanche added Continuous Execution, an upgrade that uses parallel processing to improve blockchain performance. It pushes the network’s multichain design further by adding another layer of parallelism inside blockchain execution itself.
Avalanche already separates unrelated activity across independent L1 chains, so those workloads do not compete for the same resources. Continuous Execution targets the remaining bottleneck, giving applications such as games and DeFi a way to avoid the shared execution capacity used by older single-chain systems.
