Ginkgo’s lab robotics are coming to Caltech’s ELECTRA cloud lab

Ginkgo is adding its lab robotics to Caltech’s ELECTRA, an automated facility for electron-diffraction research. The system is led by chemistry professor Hosea Nelson and will support analytical technology and natural-products research.

ELECTRA is part of the NSF’s move toward remote experimentation through a national network of automated cloud labs, not just isolated facilities. It is one of 20 NSF-funded cloud laboratories being built across the United States.
