Decagon and Instinct open-source PACT for verifying AI agent consent

Businesses now have an open-source way to check whether an AI agent represents a specific user and whether that user authorized an action. Decagon and Instinct announced PACT on October 6, using A2A for agent communication and OAuth for identity and permission checks. Decagon also joined the Personal Agent Protocol working group led by Muse, as Techmeme reported a broader publication involving Meta, Walmart, Stripe, and others.
