Artisan lets U.S. users pay bills directly with USDC on Base

Artisan said its first U.S. users will get access to billpay next week, letting them pay bills directly with USDC on Base. That removes the cash-out step that normally happens before rent and other bills clear.

The launch comes as recent bank checkout integrations still take stablecoins from consumers and convert them into fiat for merchants. Artisan opened a waitlist for the initial cohort, with access starting the following week.
